Event Info
First releases don’t come bigger than Dan Shake’s. After witnessing the 3 chairs sprinkle some magic over the dancefloor at Dimensions, Dan offered up a CD loaded with his hottest tracks to Detroit champion Moodyman. What happened next was a testament to Dan’s production prowess, Moodymann made him the first non-Detroit artist to release on the revered Mahogani Recordings. 3AM Jazz Club, instant classic.

Recently Dan has been self releasing on his SHAKE imprint, throwing down everything from saucy afrobeat re-hashes to the shazamabble acid fiesta ‘Claudia’s Trip’. We had one of ‘those’ moments at Origins in Bath when Dan pulled up Floorplan’s Never Grow Old. With the dancefloor turned up the the max, and minimal taps on backs, we knew we had to bring him to Micks. With an extended set lined up, make sure your phone battery is full so you can snapchat your mates and take videos you will never ever watch again. Or you could give that a miss and party like the sky’s about to fall in.

Donna Leake will be supplying dancefloor refreshments in the shape of jazz, afrobeats and all the rare grooves. The Brilliant Corners & NTS resident has been making noise with her off-kilter selections and we are prepping for some exceptionally high levels of revelry while she’s in control.

Our Origins residents will be the perfect aperitif for our two guests, with the formidable Armand (cc the roof-raising Bambounou b2b last halloween) being joined by fresh face Henry Rymer, who put together up our maiden show on Netil Radio. Sadly, Stand Alone will be taking an extended hiatus from Origins duties, so come experience a very valued resident’s farewell set - bring tissues.

Mick’s has been developing into one of the stars of the London clubbing map. Alone we have brought Juju & Jordash, Daniel Bortz, anu, Bambounou, Space Dimension Controller, Tom Demac, Locked Groove and Dinky to the east London warehouse. The venue is an impeccable environment for dancefloor delights. Rustic food, tasty beverages and home brewed kombucha will give you the energy to keep grooving.
