Odd Familiar Mix
Originally from Canada and now based in London, Odd Familiar aims to create a sound that feels familiar but unique in its own right—something that resonates instinctively while offering a fresh perspective. He continues to shape and evolve his style, guided by shifting inspirations and personal experiences that inform both his production and DJ sets, and he joins us for Tapes #157.
His music draws from a wide spectrum of electronic subgenres, including UK Techno, House, Bass, Dembow, and others, resulting in a sound deeply rooted in groove and rhythm, yet open-ended in direction. His latest release, ODD 002, on his own label Prima Material, received support from respected artists such as Pearson Sound, Amaliah, SUCHI, and others.
