Pinch Mix
Tapes #182 comes from Pinch, a figure whose position at the forefront of bass music culture has been undisputed since he came up in the early 2000s. From the versatility of his productions to his widely hailed skills as a selector and label head of the influential Tectonic Recordings, the Bristol-based soundsystem heavyweight has made an indelible impression on club music.
Constantly breaking new ground, Pinch’s work continues to be defined by fresh approaches to the time-honoured practice of chest-rattling low-end and echo chamber experimentation.
