Stella Z Mix
Joining us for Tapes #180 is Stella Z, is a London-based composer, producer, and DJ hailing from China, crafting immersive, narrative-driven soundscapes that blend organic, tribal, industrial, and electronic experimentation.
Designed to engage both body and mind, her sets move in waves, inviting outward movement while drawing reflection inward through tension and slow-burning momentum. She is active in both DJ and Live on European and Asian club, sound space and festivals circuits.
With two albums to her name, her work has been featured by The Vinyl Factory, BBC Radio 6 Music, Bandcamp Daily, and The Wire, among others. An emerging voice within underground electronic music, Mixmag named her an Artist to Check Out in 2024. Her live DJ sets have been highlighted as “Mix of the Day” by Resident Advisor.
